Why Does The Stainless Steel Ball Valve Have A Longer Service Life And Maintenance-free Period?
Why does 2 Piece Ball Valve have a long service life and maintenance-free period? Because it is made of stainless steel, it will maintain normal working conditions, a harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data. When the stainless steel ball valve is closed, there is still pressurized fluid inside the valve body. The following three points should be noted during maintenance:
1. Release the pipeline pressure and keep the valve in the open position;
2. Disconnect the power supply or gas source;
3. Disconnect the actuator from the bracket.
1) The packing must be tightened again
1. If there is a slight leak at the packing tube, the valve stem nut must be tightened again;
2. Be careful not to tighten it too tight. Usually, tighten it 1/4 turn to 1 turn, and the leakage will stop.
2) Replace the valve seat and seal of the stainless steel ball valve:
A) Disassembly
1. Place the valve in the half-open position, flush and remove any hazardous substances that may exist inside and outside the valve body;
2. Close the ball valve, remove the connecting bolts and nuts on the flanges on both sides, and then completely remove the valve from the pipeline;
3. Remove the drive device-actuator (20), connecting bracket (18), anti-loosening washer (14), valve stem nut (13), butterfly spring (12), Glam (11), wear-resistant sheet (10), valve stem packing (9) in sequence;
4. Remove the body cover connecting bolts (5) and nuts, separate the valve cover from the valve body, and remove the valve cover gasket (16);
5. Confirm that the valve ball (3) is in the "off" position, which can make it easier to remove it from the valve body, and then remove the valve seat;
6. Gently push the valve stem (6) downward from the center hole of the valve body until it is completely removed, and then remove the O-ring (8) and the packing under the valve stem.
Note: Please operate with caution to avoid scratching the surface of the stainless steel ball valve stem and the sealing part of the valve body stuffing box
B) Reassembly of stainless steel ball valve:
1. Clean and inspect the removed parts. It is strongly recommended to replace the valve seat and valve cover gasket and other seals with spare parts package;
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly;
3. Cross-tighten the flange connection bolts with the specified torque;
4. Tighten the valve stem nut (13) with the specified torque;
5. After installing the actuator, input the corresponding signal to drive the valve core to rotate by rotating the valve stem, so that the valve can be opened and closed;
6. If possible, please perform pressure sealing test and performance test on the valve according to relevant standards before reinstalling the pipeline.
Model representation method: The previous stainless steel ball valve Q11S-16C, in which "S" is represented by an older method, "S" represents plastic seal. Now it is represented by "F", which represents PTFE or polytetrafluoroethylene material
