Throttling Range And Installation Instructions Of Stainless Steel Ball Valve
3 Piece Ball Valve can be closed tightly by rotating 90 degrees and with very small torque. The equal inner cavity of the valve body provides a small resistance and straight flow channel for the medium. It is generally believed that stainless steel ball valves are suitable for direct opening and closing, but recent developments have designed stainless steel ball valves to have throttling and flow control functions. The main features of stainless steel ball valves are compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids and natural gas, and also suitable for media with harsh working conditions, such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene. The valve body of stainless steel ball valves can be integral or combined.
The throttling range of stainless steel ball valves is the same as that of pneumatic control valves. To open the valve, some suction gas superheat is required. To open the valve wider, the power fluid must provide a greater thrust to overcome the spring force. This greater pressure is generated by increasing the superheat, so that a superheat of 7k is required when the valve is opened. The valve can keep the amount of liquid in the evaporator roughly constant. If the liquid decreases, more evaporation surface will be exposed to overheat the refrigerant, resulting in the valve opening.
The evaporator pressure at the outlet of the stainless steel ball valve enters from the inside of the valve body to the bottom of the diaphragm. The pressure drop of the evaporator of some refrigeration systems is quite large. Some evaporators have several parallel passages, which requires a distributor, which also increases the pressure drop. At this time, if the internal balanced stainless steel ball valve is still used, the refrigerant pressure under the diaphragm will be higher than the actual pressure in the suction line at the temperature bulb connection point. The superheat required to open the valve is higher, and the efficiency of the evaporator is reduced accordingly. To avoid this situation, an external balancer can be used, that is, the refrigerant pressure at the outlet of the evaporator is led into the valve and acts on the bottom of the diaphragm.
Installation instructions for stainless steel ball valves:
1. The stainless steel ball valve should be installed in the horizontal or vertical direction of the pipeline.
2. After connecting to the pipeline, please cross-lock the flange connection bolts with the specified torque for the forged steel gate valve.
3. Remove the protective covers on both sides of the flange end and flush and clean it with the valve open.
4. During installation, please do not use the actuator part of the valve as a lifting point to avoid damage to the actuator and accessories.
5. Before connecting to the pipeline, flush and clean the remaining impurities in the pipeline (these substances may damage the valve seat and ball).
6. The pipeline near the installation point must not be drooping or subjected to external forces. The explosion-proof and fire-retardant breathing valve can use a pipeline bracket or support to clean the deviation of the pipeline.
7. Before installation, the whole machine should be tested according to the specified signal (electricity or gas) (to prevent vibration caused by transportation from affecting the performance), and it can be installed online only after passing the test (wiring according to the electric actuator circuit diagram).
