Installation And Features Of American Standard Flange Ball Valve
The American standard flange ball valve is mainly used to cut off or connect the medium, and can also be used for fluid regulation and control. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electricity, construction, heat, water supply and drainage, water treatment and other industries. The opening and closing parts of the American standard flange ball valve are used as a sphere, and the sphere is rotated 90o around the axis of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing.

① Valve stem anti-flying structure: When the medium passes through the valve, the pressure in the valve body cavity may push the valve stem out. To prevent this from happening, a boss structure is set at the bottom of the valve stem, so that even if there is a fire, the packing, thrust bearing is burned or other reasons cause the packing to be damaged, the medium pressure in the valve body will make the valve stem boss and the valve body seal in close contact, preventing a large amount of medium from leaking from the damaged packing part;
② Anti-static device: When operating the American standard flange ball valve, due to the friction between the ball and the non-metallic material valve seat such as polytetrafluoroethylene, static electricity will be generated and accumulated on the ball. In order to prevent the generation of static sparks, an anti-static device is specially installed on the valve to conduct the generated static electricity;
③ Fireproof structure: The valve seat of our American standard flange ball valve adopts a special structure. When a fire occurs and the non-metallic sealing surface material is burned, the metal ring uses the elastic force of the spring to push the valve seat and the ball to seal, thereby preventing the spread of fire and the outflow of the medium;
④ Middle flange no leakage structure: The connection between the valve body and the left body is sealed by a gasket. In order to prevent the seal leakage caused by fire, high temperature or vibration, the valve body and the left body are specially designed to be in metal-to-metal contact to form a stop flange to ensure no leakage;
⑤ Automatic pressure relief structure: When the medium retained in the middle cavity of the valve changes due to factors such as pipeline system pressure or medium temperature, resulting in an abnormal increase in the middle cavity pressure, the middle cavity medium can rely on its own thrust to push the valve seat and automatically release the pressure, thereby ensuring the safety of the valve.
Installation of American standard flange ball valve
1. Remove the protective covers on both sides of the flange end and rinse and clean the American standard flange ball valve when it is fully opened.
2. Before installation, the whole machine should be tested according to the specified signal (electricity or gas) (to prevent vibration caused by transportation from affecting the performance), and it can be installed online only after passing the test (wiring should be based on the circuit diagram of the electric actuator).
3. Before connecting to the pipeline, the impurities remaining in the pipeline must be flushed and cleaned (these substances may damage the valve seat and ball).
4. During installation, please do not use the actuator part of the American standard flange ball valve as a lifting point to avoid damage to the actuator and accessories.
5. The American standard flange ball valve should be installed in the horizontal or vertical direction of the pipeline.
6. The pipeline near the installation point should not be drooping or subjected to external forces. Pipeline brackets or supports can be used to clean the deviation of the pipeline.
7. After connecting to the pipeline, cross-tighten the flange connection bolts with the specified torque.
