Disadvantages Of Thermal Insulation Ball Valve And Structural Improvement
3 Way Flanged Ball Valve is mainly used in pipelines to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium. It only needs to rotate 90 degrees and a very small torque to close tightly.
Insulated ball valves can be divided into fixed and floating types according to the positioning method of the ball. Among them, fixed insulated ball valves generally have floating valve seats. After being subjected to the pressure of the medium, the valve seat moves, so that the sealing ring is pressed tightly against the ball to ensure sealing. Bearings are usually installed on the upper and lower shafts of the ball, with small operating torque, suitable for high-pressure and large-caliber valves.
Insulated ball valves are mainly installed by separating the upper and lower shafts from the ball. The upper and lower shafts have high requirements for matching with the ball, and the processing is difficult. It is easy to have the problem of insufficient concentricity between the upper and lower shafts and the ball, resulting in poor sealing effect. In addition, the valve seat is mainly driven by springs. When conveying high-viscosity asphalt media, due to the aging of asphalt, it adheres to the spring, causing the spring to fail and causing oil leakage at the seal. In order to solve these problems, relevant manufacturers have developed and produced a new type of fixed insulated ball valve that is suitable for asphalt media and has good sealing effect.
The upper valve stem and lower valve stem of the new fixed insulated ball valve pass through the bearing cover and the bearing on the valve body respectively and are fixed inside, ensuring that the center of the three channels on the ball is consistent with the center of the inlet and outlet on the valve body, so that the sealing effect is very good. The valve seat is tightly pressed on the ball through a threaded connection, does not require spring thrust, is not affected by asphalt aging, and can be used for the transportation of asphalt media. The double-layer sealing of the packing and the ring body can effectively prevent the leakage of asphalt.
